Phalaenopsis (Butterfly orchid)

Height from 20 to 80 centimetres.

Phalaenopsis, also known as the butterfly orchid, is a popular orchid species. As the name suggests, the flat flowers of phalaenopsis resemble butterflies. They come in different colours, including white, pink, yellow, purple and spotted varieties.

Phalaenopsis orchids have a flowering period followed by a dormant period. Once the flowers have wilted, you can cut off the flower stem. Some species of Phalaenopsis may flower again later on the same stem, while others grow a new stem.

Dendrobium

Some Dendrobium orchid species and hybrids remain relatively compact, reaching a height of about 20 to 30 centimetres. Some species can grow considerably taller, with heights of 60 centimetres to more than a metre.

Dendrobiums form a diverse group of orchids with more than a thousand different species, so it comes as no surprise that these orchids have a wide variety of flower shapes and colours.

Orchid species Cambria

From a height of 20-30 cm to 80cm.

Cambria refers to hybrid orchid species. To be more specific, Cambria is not a botanical term, but rather a commercial or grower's designation for orchids created from a mix of different orchid genera, such as Cochlioda, Odontoglossum or Miltonia.

Cambrias are known for their striking and colourful flowers. They are often popular as houseplants because of their relatively easy care. Avoid excessive watering and make sure the plant does not dry out. Just as you would follow aloe vera plant care.

Cymbidium

From 30 cm, can grow up to 1 metre.

The flowers of Cymbidium orchids are large and striking. They come in different colours, such as white, green, yellow, pink and burgundy. Their strong, graceful flower symbolises a valued friendship. This orchid species is available both as a pot plant and as a cut flower.

Cymbidium orchids are popular choices for arrangements and bouquets because of their elegant and long-lasting blooms. When creating a Cymbidium bouquet, florists can combine these orchids with other complementary flowers, such as lisianthus or red naomi. Or maybe they are a perfect match with a tulip bouquet.

Orchid Vanda

The Vanda orchid is a beautiful orchid genus known for its large colourful flowers. Vandas come in a wide range of colours, including shades of purple, blue, pink and white. The flowers can be uniformly coloured or have intricate patterns. These are the five most popular plants in the orchid wholesale range.

These orchids need high humidity. A humidity level between 60% and 80% is ideal. Normal room humidity is usually between 40% and 60%. This is ideal for most houseplants, such as amaryllis. To best care for the Vanda, regularly place the orchid in a bowl of water. This can help increase humidity.
